The Kitchen

I put my seismograph on a pool table at home and bounced a ball. It worked fine.

Then, while I was at home I tried it on our kitchen floor which is made of tile. I bounced the ball from 2.2 meters up which was at the ceiling and it showed that the floor vibrated a lot. When I stepped 1 meter back and tried it from the same height, there was almost no difference.
