The Distance Probe provides non-contact distance measurements using an ultrasonic sonar transducer. It is ideal for a wide range of experiments from physics, to human physiology, to mathematics. Explore distance, velocity, acceleration, friction, gravity, periodic motion, straight line motion, and quadratic equations.

This patented, rugged Team Labs probe has a wide variety of mounting features, making experiment setups fast and easy. The thin profile allows the probe to be attached to flat surfaces, such as the ceiling.

Use the Distance Probe to explore hang time, distance, velocity, and acceleration due to gravity.

Settable beam angle of ±10° (standard) and ±7° (narrow, for cart and air track experiments)
Beam angle is controlled by the software and stored with the experiment. When students open the experiment days later, the probe will automatically use the correct beam angle, reducing student error.
